Eye Tests at NHK Opticians in and around Plymouth
What is an eye test?
An eye test is a comprehensive examination of your vision and eye health, carried out by a qualified optometrist. At NHK Opticians, our eye tests assess how well you see, check the health of your eyes, and help detect early signs of conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetes-related eye changes.

What happens during an eye test?
An eye test is about much more than checking whether you need glasses. Your examination typically includes:
-
Discussion about your vision and eye health history
-
Vision checks (distance, reading, focusing)
-
Eye health examination using specialist equipment
-
Advice on glasses, contact lenses, or treatment if needed
Our optometrists explain findings clearly and will always discuss your options with you before making any recommendations.
